1st Place Winner - Kathy Eberhardt$25 from Prairie Meats
The water lily was unique as we don’t see them very often on the prairie, but it was also well photographed. Light balance and contrast made the photo. 2nd Place Winner - Kathy Eberhardt$25 from Prairie Meats
Judge comments: the second photo was a beautiful representation of what we can find in our own back yard to make an exquisite floral arrangement. The colour all worked together! |
3rd Place Winner - Lyle Drew$50 prize of gift certificates from Sherwood Co-op
($25 gift card good for gas or groceries and a couple of car washes) Judge comments: The hollyhocks were iconic of Saskatchewan perennials and brought back memories of my grandmothers perennial garden. Honorable Mention - Sherice Smith/Colin Novak(adjusted prize because of the drought we had this summer): 5 Black Lightning miniature iris roots, a pot with 2 Karl Rosenfield peonies donated by Kathy Eberhardt.
Judge comments: last photo of the peony was also an iconic perennial and bonus for the bee! |
