The required setbacks for residential within the hamlet are:
Front yard: 20 feet from property line
Side yard: 5 feet from property line
Rear yard: 20 feet from property line for principal buildings and 5 feet for accessory buildings

The process is to fill out the attached building development permit, it is approved (or not approved) by the RM of Lajord.
If it approved, you will be notified and you may also be required to apply for a "building permit" depending on the project
